Mommy Review: Exergen Temporal Thermometer

My hubby is not obsessive compulsive or anything, but one of his so called "necessities" he lets our nannies bring in their diaper bags all the time for our two girls is the thermometer. Yes, it's a big deal!
One of our recent find is the Exergen Temporal Scanner Thermometer: The Truly Uninvasive Thermometer.
Sold at BABYLEAF for P2250, is a totally non-invasive system with advanced infrared technology providing maximum ease of use with quick, consistently accurate measurements. Advanced, patented technology measures temperatures with a gentle stroke across the forehead.

The Temporal Scanner Thermometer has been clinically tested for accuracy compared to rectal thermometers and temperature sensors inserted in the heart during course of patient treatment and accepted for use in major hospitals, making it the ideal thermometer for use with newborns, infants, children or adults.

When our girls get sick and desperately need sleep it’s comforting to get a reading without waking them. With a little practice, you can get the technique – remove the clear cap (an easy oversight), press and hold the button, lightly sweep it across the forehead, release the button and read the temperature.

The only thing we didn’t like was that the display screen isn’t back-lit so you will need a flashlight when using it in the night. That said, we still found this thermometer highly useful and recommend it to other parents.

Cheers!
